[edit] What is eLITwiki?

The eLITwiki is a wiki that documents the work of the eLearning Initiatives Team at Northumbria University (eLIT).

For those of you who have never heard of a wiki before, a wiki can be thought of as a website that can be easily edited and it makes the sharing of information remarkably easy.

The most (in)famous wiki is the Wikipedia, an online encyclopedia that bills itself as the font of all human knowledge, while a growing band of detractors put forward cogent arguments as to why it isn't! Either way, we use the same wiki software as wikipedia but we limit access to our wiki to Northumbria University staff. Only eLIT staff can update this site, so you might argue that our wiki is more like a team blog.
